Are you looking for a fulfilling career where you can inspire the next generation of vets, while maintaining clinical distinction, and still have time for interesting research?
The Division of Small Animal Clinical Sciences is seeking to recruit a dynamic and motivated veterinary anaesthetist.
The ideal candidate will have completed an ECVAA or ACVAA approved residency or hold an ECVAA or ACVAA postgraduate diploma in Veterinary Anaesthesia or equivalent but residency-trained colleagues due to sit exams will also be considered. The post offers a significant element of ‘off clinics’ time for research and scholarship (including exam study). The role will also involve the delivery of clinical teaching to undergraduates, interns and residents.
The successful candidate will join a friendly and supportive team of four ECVAA Diplomates, 2 ACVAA Diplomates, four ECVAA residents, two anaesthesia nurses and one service specific intern. While the post will comprise predominantly small animal anaesthesia, an involvement in equine anaesthesia may also be required.
Our multidisciplinary state of the art hospitals are based on the beautiful Garscube estate, 10 minutes’ drive from the vibrant “West End” of Glasgow and less than one hour from Loch Lomond. Our ‘One Hospital’ team ethos ensures exceptional clinical care can be delivered to our patients, and supports the continual professional development of our vets, nurses and support staff. The ability to work well with others in a collegial team atmosphere is essential.
