Langford Vets is excited to offer two Residencies in Anaesthesia at our state-of-the-art Small Animal Referral Hospital.
As a resident, you will work as part of the Anaesthesia department, gaining hands-on experience and training in all aspects of anaesthesia care. You’ll be joining a dynamic and supportive team of experts, including six Senior Anaesthetists, three other residents, five anaesthesia nurses and a broad range of other specialists across our hospital. You will be based primarily in the Small Animal Referral Hospital with some time spent in the Translational Biomedical Research Centre, Large Animal Practice, and Bristol Zoo. Visits and externships to equine hospitals with whom we have reciprocal agreements are scheduled to meet the requirements of the ECVAA training programme.
What You'll Do:
- Work as part of the anaesthesia department, anaesthetising individual cases and contributing to peri-anaesthetic and critical care of inpatients
- Receive structured training and mentorship from experienced specialists
- Participate in the emergency anaesthesia out-of-hours rota (currently 1 in 4)
- Contribute to clinical teaching and collaborative research initiatives
