Applications are invited for an ECVAA Residency Programme in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia at the University of Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
DESCRIPTION
This residency is a 3-year (36 months) full time programme. A specialised study diploma (D.E.S.) is awarded upon its completion. Clinical training is provided in the field of veterinary anaesthesiology and pain management for small, large, and exotic animals. The successful candidate will join a growing anaesthesia team currently composed of two ECVAA Diplomates, two residency-trained clinicians, one junior clinician and two ECVAA residents, with further growth anticipated in the coming months. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic academic hospital environment, alongside specialists in anaesthesiology, cardiology, surgery, dentistry, dermatology, medical imaging, internal medicine, neurology, ophthalmology, zoological medicine, emergency, and critical care.
REQUIREMENTS
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent
- Have recently completed an internship or have equivalent experience (2 years)
- Knowledge of the French language is an asset, but is not strictly necessary at this stage. A commitment to learning it during the first phase of the program is required
