Location: University of Montreal, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Saint Hyacinthe, Quebec, Canada

Duration: 1-3 weeks

The CHUV at the University of Montreal is a leading multidisciplinary veterinary teaching and referral hospital located in St. Hyacinthe, Quebec, Canada. We are seeking ECVAA or ACVAA board-certified locums for the following weeks:

  • January 5 to 16 (2 weeks)
  • February 2 to 20 (3 weeks or at least the first 2)
  • March 16 to 29 (2 weeks)
  • April 7 to 12 (1 week)
  • April 13 to 25 (2 weeks)
  • April 27 to May 15 (3 weeks)
  • May 19 to 29 (2 weeks)
  • May 25 to 31 (1 week)
  • June 8 to 19 (2 weeks)

You will collaborate with 2 ECVAA Diplomates, 2 residency-trained clinicians, 2 ECVAA residents, and a team of 6 technicians. The position involves working Monday to Friday (8 AM – 5 PM), with primary case responsibility and supervision of residents, interns, and technicians. Participation in a shared out-of-hours emergency anesthesia service during the week and on weekends is also foreseen. Access to modern anesthetic equipment is provided, with anesthesia services covering both the Small Animal and the Large Animal Hospitals. Finally, you may have the opportunity to anesthetize exotic and zoo animals as we collaborate with the local zoo and aquarium.

Compensation includes a competitive salary, out-of-hours pay, accommodation, and travel expenses. Priority will be given to candidates covering more weeks.
