We are looking for an anaesthesia clinician to join our team of 3 veterinarians (1 ECVAA-specialist, 1 anaesthesia clinician and 1 specialty intern) and 15 theatre-dedicated nurses.

Located in Nantes, a vibrant and attractive city near the Atlantic coast, ATLANTIA is one of the largest Veterinary Referral Hospital in France. The hospital accepts referrals for a variety of specialities and has 24/7 patient care with a busy emergency service.

Under the supervision of Mandoline Chesnel (ECVAA board certified diplomate), the anaesthesia department works along a multidisciplinary team and offers support to all hospital departments. We enjoy modern anaesthesia equipment (ventilators, monitors, perfusion equipment, …) in all areas of the hospital, a dedicated-ultrasound machine for locoregional anaesthesia, and a complete laboratory at the patient bedside.

Along with Dr CHESNEL, you will be involved in general and locoregional anaesthesia of our patients and will supervise the team of nurses and interns. You will also be involved in the management of patients in critical care and in pain consultations. You will be expected to participate in teaching activities (training nurses and interns, journal clubs …).

Licenced veterinarian, you are eligible to practise veterinary medicine in France (inscription at l’Ordre des Vétérinaires) and can easily communicate in French.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic anaesthetist with a minimum of 1-year experience working full time in anaesthesia (specialty intern, assistant, resident or clinician). Having completed an anaesthesia residency (board eligible) is an advantage but not mandatory. The successful candidate will have the ability to work in a very busy environment and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
