The Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for a clinical or tenure-track faculty position in Veterinary Anesthesiology. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience, typically ranging from $130,000 to $185,000. Benefits include paid vacation, retirement, health insurance, and opportunities for outside consultation. Applications will be reviewed until the position is filled.

Teaching responsibilities include didactic, clinical, and laboratory instruction of veterinary students, residents, and graduate trainees. Clinical service is shared among three anesthesiologists, a veterinary anesthetist, up to two residents, and eight certified anesthesia technicians. Duties include anesthesia management for both small and large animals and participation in after-hours coverage. For the tenure-track position, establishing an active research program is expected, with internal funding opportunities available.

Applicants must have a DVM or equivalent and be eligible for licensure in Mississippi. Board certification or eligibility in the American or European College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia is preferred.
