The Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine has an opening for a clinical or tenure track faculty position in Small Animal Medicine at Assistant, Associate or Full Professor levels. Salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience (range $140,000 to $200,000). Benefits package includes paid vacation, retirement, health insurance, and consulting options.

Teaching responsibilities involve didactic and clinical training of students, interns, residents, and graduate students. Service responsibilities involve clinical case management and rotating emergency duty. Clinical duties in the Medicine service are shared with three other faculty members and five residents. For tenure-track faculty members, development of a specific area of clinical and research expertise is encouraged, and initial funding (up to $50,000 over 5 years) is available to support research. ACVIM Diplomate status is preferred, but other credentials such as ECVIM-CA, and residency-trained individuals, will also be considered.
