The applicant’s activities are expected to extend into teaching, research and administration as well as clinical services and to closely cooperate with all disciplines of the LMU Small Animal Clinic. The LMU Small Animal Clinic is a state-of-the-art facility that is ideally suited to further develop a successful anaesthesia and analgesia program. In the future, an anaesthesia and analgesia service across all species is planned.

LMU Munich seeks to appoint a clinically skilled, highly qualified junior academic to this professorship and, therefore, especially encourages early-career scholars to apply. Prerequisites for this position are a university degree in veterinary medicine and a doctoral degree or a comparable specific qualification. International board certification of the European College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia (ECVAA) and/or of the American College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia (ACVAA) is required; if international board certification is not available yet, ECVAA or ACVAA residency-trained candidates that are board-eligible and have a national specialty title are also eligible for the position. Scholarly activity and participation in collaborative research corresponding to a clinical tenure track faculty position will be expected.

Please submit your application in English comprising a curriculum vitae, documentation of academic degrees, certificates as well as a list of publications, teaching activities and third-party funding to the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Veterinärstr. 13, 80539 Munich, Germany, via electronic submission (dekanat08@lmu.de, one single pdf file with max. 10 MB) no later than October 5th, 2025.
