Position: Anaesthesia and Analgesia Intern
Location: The Ralph Veterinary Referral Centre, Marlow, United Kingdom
We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic veterinary surgeon with a keen interest for veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia to start a one year specialist internship at The Ralph Veterinary Referral Centre in Summer 2023!
The successful candidate will join our Anaesthesia and Analgesia team including two ECVAA diplomates, three ECVAA residency trained anaesthetists, one resident, one intern and twelve Theatre/Anaesthesia nurses.
You will have access to a range of anaesthetic equipment including multiple ventilator types, StimPod TOF monitoring, as well as nerve stimulation and a dedicated ultrasound for locoregional anaesthesia. Opportunities to learn a range of skills including central line, arterial line and epidural catheter placement/management, among others will be abundant.
During the internship you will work in close contact with diplomates in all disciplines including cardiology, dentistry, diagnostic imaging, emergency and critical care, internal medicine, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery and also our excellent physiotherapy and rehabilitation team. Our well established ICU with its specialist ECC team, provides a particularly diverse and interesting caseload.
