Job description
- Organizing and providing veterinary care for internal medicine patients; attending to outpatients and inpatients in the field of anaesthesia and pain management
- Independent teaching in accordance with the German Teaching Obligations Ordinance (LVVO) in the subject of small animal and pet anesthesia, including lectures, propaedeutics, clinical rotations, emergency courses, and elective duties
- Professional involvement in the training of residents and veterinary specialists in various disciplines
- Research in the field of small animal anesthesia
Experience
- Substantiated theoretical and practical knowledge of anesthesia and pain management in small animals and pets as well as related disciplines (e. g. emergency medicine)
- Relevant experience in the management of surgical procedures
- Extensive knowledge of applicable anaesthetic and pharmaceutical legislation as well as knowledge of general hospital hygiene and infection prevention
- Experience in teaching and training of veterinary specialists and residents
- Relevant experience in the field of scientific publishing
- Knowledge of quality management (including knowledge of good scientific practice and good veterinary practice GVP)
